NATO was concieved in the post WW 2 era as a bulwark against possible Soviet aggression. Since the disolution of the Soviet empire NATO has desperately sought busy-work all over the world. As Canadians we can thank NATO for our involvement in Afghanistan, where over 150 Canadians have died and thousands have been injured, and for our role in the bombing of Libya, a country that has never posed any threat whatsoever to Canada. Let's get out of NATO now and create a truly independent foreign policy that works for Canada!
