The thing that makes both teams strive to better is the rivalry - take that away and what are we left with? Halving the quantity of youngsters coming through makes little sense to me. We've said it before and we'll say it again - NO MERGER!

This is the thin end of the wedge. Kids growing up in Hull playing rugby league want to play for either Hull or Rovers. They want to follow in their hero's footsteps. They grow up learning all about the rivalry between the 2 teams - a rivalry that splits the city. In 20 years time its possible that the younger generation will grow up without really understanding what this rivalry really means. It is the worst decision that my club has ever made in the 50 years I have been supporting them..
