Dear Residence of Bethel Park,

The Bethel Park School Board and Superintendent are depriving our students and community through the following documented actions:

  • Reduction/restructuring/termination of teachers, administration, and support staff creating an unsafe and dysfunctional day to day operation of the district
  • Reduction/elimination of special needs/learning support structures at all grades levels for our most vulnerable students
  • Reassignment of teachers/administration to areas not qualified or experienced to handle
  • Lack of available necessary graduation required class options for 9-12th grade including reduction/elimination of core courses, honors classes, and AP class options creating overcrowded classes or no class options at all
  • Deteriorating morale of teachers, support staff, and students
  • Lack of transparency not only within the Board as voiced at public meetings but also with the taxpaying public on multiple issues…

These major issues along with countless documented misguided decisions over the past year leads to no choice but for the parents, students, and taxpayers of Bethel Park to implement the following by signing below:

We hereby sign the petition of a NO CONFIDENCE vote in the following:

1)Bethel Park School Board

2)School Board President Donna Cook

3)Superintendent Dr. Joseph Pasquerilla

I have been reading every single story you are sharing about the decline of our classrooms and the impact on our children. It breaks my heart that so many of you are experiencing the same instability I see in my own home. We are currently preparing to present this overwhelming volume of feedback directly to the board so they can no longer ignore the reality of what this district has become.

Seeing this kind of movement in our community proves that my neighbors share my deep worry about what is happening to our children. This momentum confirms that we are no longer willing to accept the board ignoring our concerns while our classrooms suffer.

As a student of bethel park high school, I believe the superintendent is completely ruining futures. He is limiting our classes.

This poor nursing coverage is a , "Accident waiting to happen". It is too late when a student suffers a medical crises & there is no nurse to assess & treat them. How will you live with your unreasonable decision then? As a fomer sub certified nurse from BP and a school nurse for 7 years, I feel this is a very unsafe situation!

Enough is Enough! I chose to build my house, I realize that. My school taxes are probably in the group of some of the highest in Bethel Park. Therefore, I think I have a right to be heard. The superintendent is only interested in his salary being raised by meeting requirements. Stop this foolish behavior and return Bethel Park to the quality of education it should have. I am sick to death of reading that we are below Upper St. Clair and Mt.. Lebanon. Now even South Fayette is rated higher. Fix this now.

I have a 2016 graduate of BP and I have 2 more coming to the high school in the next 3 years. I am very disappointed in the direction this district is taking. Both my other kids are in a special education program that I feel will not be meeting their needs in the years to come because of these actions. School board members I used to admire for their work I have lost confidence in and respect for.

I don't agree with forcing the teachers to teach a subject they are confident about. Kids having no lunches schedules and forced to eat in classrooms. 70 kids in an ap class?? Teachers asking for books for class for their students..ridiculous

JWP has an overinflated sense of self importance. This cat is after the almighty dollar signs. For entertainment google his name and learn how the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. This clown will go out of his way to ruin peoples lives and livelihoods. He has no business being in the business educating children. The last 2 districts where he was employed at were left in ruins. He is at his most unprofessional best in meetings where he is backed into a corner without the most basic answers in return. (Lacks the most basic educational knowledge) Never fear my friends at BP it's about time to shop around for something better! Word has it he is in line for Ex. Director of the AIU.

High tax dollars should equal high rewards in the school system! We should be striving to be number one not moving backwards! We demand change and we want results for our children in the district.
