Help us to save Northfield Manor, the home of George Cadbury, from property developers and ensure that the wishes of his widow for the house to be used for the benefit of the people of Birmingham are respected. Defend the legacy of the Cadbury family, fight for the rights of the people of Birmingham and against greedy property developers.

Updates

August 23, 2011

The quiet period behind the scenes has been spent organizing documents that detail the original intent behind the house. Hearing the shared memories of those who spent time on the grounds reminds me that we are protecting a vital piece of our collective history rather than just a structure.

August 23, 2011

Reaching this level of support confirms that the community values the history of Northfield Manor far more than the interests of developers. This momentum proves that we are committed to upholding the original vision for this site.

I was a student at Manor House in 2002/2003 and am shocked that the building is now derelict. I met some of my closest friends within those walls and it's sad to think of it being left to rot.

I used to walk past the manor every day on my way to uni. It holds so many memories for so many of us please save it.

Its heart breaking to see the state of the grounds recently. Such a beautiful house deserves better than being turned into luxury apartments for people who dont care about Birmingham.

KEEP IT PUBLIC. George Cadbury gave so much to this city and this is basic respect.

My grandad worked at the factory for years and this place is part of our history. We cant let them just knock it down for flats.

Ridiculous to see another bit of Brum history being sold off. Sick of these developers doing whatever they want.
