The Northcote drop is a vital part of rhe network and will be, in the years ahead, an important destination - the bridge poetry; Stokes Point; the Bridgeway; Clarence Road; the Tavern; historical housing ... an urban WALKING destination, so unusual in Auckland. Some things are beyond comic value.

A reliable ferry service to and from Northcote Point is an important part of the public transport mix and an all weather terminal should be looked at seriously

Essential public transport that would lighten car load at Onewa bottleneck and into CBD. Many ferry users in the past lamented the poor reliability of service due to old wharf being inadequate and too easily shut by weather. Patronage will build to much higher than historical if all-weather terminal built!

We are meant to be increasing and improving access to public transport and taking cars off the road. How can closing the Northcote wharf achieve any of this? Onewa Road and the bridge do not need any further pressure. Nor does Birkenhead have the capacity to cope nor the back roads to get there.

What is the point of public transport if everyone needs to drive to catch it? That takes no cars off the roads. For a suburb so close to the city and with a high percentage of public transport users, you need to invest to keep it accessible.

Why would AT consider closing the wharf? Its ridiculous. why dont they develop it and Fishermans Wharf. I'm disgusted.
