If AT are hellbent on pushing the public onto public transport there needs to be a decent reliable public transport network to use. Investment into an upgrade seem the sensible approach.

We need to keep as many different ways for us Northshore People to get to the city. You must fix the wharf and give us the wharf back

This is a priority for AT to be held accountable. When we are being pushed to use public transport, there should be no reason or excuses not to have this reopened.

Keen to see the Northcote wharf back in operation ASAP. Northcote businesses have had it rough. Northcote needs those ferrying day visitors back and an alternative to cars on roads.
We need a wharf design that can cope with as many commuters as Devonport or Waiheke.
Northcote is as historic as Devonport - and with the Skypath confirmed - we will no doubt see more people enjoying this as a destination and eco-friendly alternative to travel to and from the CBD.

This will reduce a lot more congestion than the clip on cycle lane white elephant. It needs to have increased parking or shuttle buses to maximise usage

Illogical not to upgrade this. Otherwise you end up with a white elephant.

As indicated, it is disappointing that AT has not taken the Northcote Point wharf into consideration after all the damage, publicity and investigations into the reasons of how, what and why, as well as the recommendations to fix and upgrade.

I am an 80+ year old who lives near the wharf and travels to the city and back at least 20 times a week. Without the ferry service this becomes extremely difficult for me. No ferry at all is really bad for me, an unreliable ferry (due to weather) is almost as problematic

I fully support the development of Northcote Point ferry terminal and better use of our wonderful harbour so long as this is not turned over to private enterprise. Whats the bet that the owners of Auckland's bus services have councilors in their back pockets and have their commercial interests protected? No ferry means more bus passengers.

Auckland Transport have already made a big stuff up with the buses on the North Shore, don’t let another big mistake follow. The wharf needs to be rebuilt!

An essential mode of transport in need of repair rather than rubbished. Think progressively - we need as many public transport options as possible and this is one of the best!

Absolutely support using this opportunity to build an all-weather ferry berth at Northcote Point. It should have been included in ATs 10 year plan but wasn't, and we now have a golden opportunity to rectify that. The Kaipatiki Local Board has given an in-principle allocation of $2million towards upgrading the wharf, rather than reinstating what we had. Here's hoping that AT are listening.
