Upgrade the Northcote Point Ferry Terminal!

Ferries have been docking at this wharf for a hundred years. It has only been a problem since the “new” wharf was built!

It'sa disgrace that this wharf was not well monitored and allowed to deteriorate to an unusable condition and that it was a poor and cheap structure in the first place.

One of the reasons for moving to the house we are now in was being so close to the ferry. A week after moving back to Northcote Point we found out the terminal was closed indefinitely. Not cool AT.

Do it once, and do it right. Don't shilly shally around with a 'temporary fix' which will siphon money away from a proper permanent upgrade, and result in not one but two lengthy disruptions while work is done.

Further to restoring the ferry service AT should honor the agreement and commitment made between the residents of Northcote and the Northcote Council as part of the consent to build the restaurant - access including fishing was guarantee'd. This wharf has been used for 100+ years by locals for recreational purposes and this right should be restored.

We need an all weather ferry terminal especially to encourage more motorists off the major roads during the commuter hours

Onewa Road bridge access is only going to get worse, and delays getting on to it from Northcote Point are becoming ridiculous considering how close we are - often even outside of peak hours. Since the ferry stopped, our morning commute means getting up 1/2 hour earlier and driving to Onewa Road for bus vs a 2 min stroll to the wharf. My family wants the ferry back now - surely an interim solution can be found to keep the wharf operating meantime, while a permanent, reliable solution is found and is being worked on. The proposed timeframes for either reinstatement or upgrading are intolerable - let's get something happening now.

Fully support the upgrade , its It is time for Auckland Council and its CCO listen to the people needs and spend money where its needed not where they think its needed.

we live at end of princes st. ever day I am stopped by visitors disappointed at lack of wharf. Fullers would have usage figures. it would be interesting to know how many passengers they carry, which translates to cars off the roads.

We now have to get into our car and drive to Birkenhead to get the ferry to the city, I thought we were trying to get cars off the roads.

Now that there is no ferry you have a lot more vehicles in Northcote point, as now we drive to the city. Catching three buses to get to Birkenhead wharf is just ridiculous waste of everyone's time and so just dosnt happen. Don't waste your time driving to birkenhead wharf, not enough parking. So we our now in our cars everywhere, is this ATs. plan for Northcote point which is already over congested with traffic just trying to get out to the main roads. Please provide us with a reliable ferry service to relieve the traffic congestion which is now the result of no other services.

The all weather upgrade is well overdue on Northcote point wharf

Northcote resident. AT you have spent millions of rate payers money on a cycle lane down to the wharf that is now virtually unused because you won't upgrade the wharf. And why are Fullers so quiet? Is it that they don't want the Northcote stop? I think we have a right to know.

In line with the sky path plans , would it not be beneficial to upgrade the wharf. Residents are also in need of the ferry use again to access work and leisure in the city

Why haven’t fuller been vocal in getting this wharf back open??
