What?! This is ridiculous. Why not Manningham Park and pull down Cartwright Hall as well?. What have the people of Shipley done? Some of the only green space around there that women can walk around relatively safely in an open space. There are tennis courts as well. You are building loads of new houses round there - think of obesity and children, not everyone has cars to quickly get to Saltaire or Manningham parks. There are plenty of waste industrial sites around. What about above the cathedral near Lidle, Harrogate Road area? Those old buildings encourage crime of all kind. That area needs bulldozing.

I grew up around the corner from, and visited this park regularly. It would be a terrible thing to see it go.

Disadvantaging the next generation is not something our council should be considering. No, no and no again.

This really is an unsuitable space, so loved and well used for its current recreational use, in an area which already has a huge level of unhealthy adults and children.

Northcliffe Parrk was given to the people of Shipley to enjoy for future generations, not to be built on, it should not even be considered.

Communities need parks and open spaces to support their general health and wellbeing. Councils are supposed to work with communities in that aim. There are very few adequate spaces around this area of Shipley, which is substantially residential. Taking this one away to build crematoria / cemetery facilities does not support a health or wellbeing initiative. Surely using land the Council was given in trust for public use places the Council in contempt of that trust agreement.

Parks are essential to the health of locals. Usually they’ve been donated by a wealthy family decades ago.

We use the park and woods every week to walk our dog. There aren't many places where you can safely let dog off lead . It is also a beautiful place and would be a massive loss to locals.

Do the council even have the right to consider Northcliffe Park as a suitable site for a new crematorium? This area is dearly loved and much used by the Shipley community. It should be preserved going forward for future generations.

This is a family park, why does another green belt area have to be destroyed?
