North County Trailway Bike Path Dangerous Crossing

I use the trail for leisure & to get to work by bike. The proposed road would be dead smack in the middle of the most beautiful, smoothly paved, uninterrupted length of the trail on my commute. I not only wouldn't like another crossing in that area, but also am not a fan of new construction in an area that is full of wildlife. We use the trail to be in nature, not in people's backyards.

Protect the green space that still exists and keep trail users safe

I agree that the proposed crossing is an unnecessary danger to bike path users. The trailway is among the most used parks in several counties and users should not have to face added risks to the recreation. We users are citizens and voters.

I use this trail. It is important to keep it as it is for all to use and enjoy.

Why do officials forget about everyday people? Is a cross road really necessary. I am sure you can figure out an alternative .

I am strongly opposed to the construction of a private roadway though the NYSDOT Right of Way. It will disrupt a long, uninterrupted stretch of the the bikeway path and destroy forest and wetland.

I am against the proposal to have a road cross the North County Trailway!

Unfair to trail users and to Green Tree property owners.

Please do not allow the planned crossing over the North County Trailway to happen. There is an alternative option via Clayton Blvd. which will not endanger the Trailway users and will not destroy the wetlands and adjoining undeveloped property.

This is one of the most beautiful assets of our town which I have enjoyed for 30 years. Please preserve it for our generation and those to come after us.

The purpose of the trailway is to provide a safe, serene setting for recreation. A road cutting through at trailway in close proximity to a shopping center is an invitation for heavy traffic and creates a dangerous situation for all trail users. Additionally, removing trees and wetlands in a time of global warming is extremely counterproductive

I am vehemently opposed to the proposed crossing of the Trailway. Not only is it a safety hazard for the hundreds of people and pets who use it for recreational purposes but also for relief from the chaos of daily life and Route 6. It would endanger the animals and birds who inhabit the forest and wetlands and destroy the pease and quiet of the area. I’m a daily user of the Trailway with my dog and I love it the way it is. Please do not give in to this dangerous project!

As an lifelong cyclist I greatly value the long stretches of uninterrupted bikeway. An additional crossing is both a safety hazard and a blight that should be avoided at all costs.

As an avid cyclist and local resident and taxpayer, I am very strongly against the proposed vehicular crossing of the North County Trail. This is a dangerous and unnecessary solution to solve a greedy developer's wish, completely disregarding the needs of local residents, wildlife and users of the trail.

Stop this development!
