Great idea, I've been lucky, have only received negative comments from one "friend" but otherwise support from the children's centre & health visitor has been excellent.

My doctor said some people rant designed to breastfeed when I went in to get thrush treatment. I'd been bf for 3 months no problem and went on to 14 months. Wasn't after support but wasn't after discouragement from my gp either.

36 years after I breastfed my child discreetly in a cafe and was removed for doing so, it's way past time for change. Breasts are for breastfeeding, there is nothing sordid in doing what is the most natural thing on earth.

I have been breastfeeding my son for 6 months (and I intend to continue until he's one) and the only time someone has reacted negatively to it was a nurse at my doctor's surgery! Even though there are posters stating you can breastfeed in the waiting room she made me do it round the corner out of sight! A less confident breast feeder might have given up!

Agree that a tv add needs to be done! It is disgusting that they show so many formula adverts but not 1 single bf advert!

Breastfeeding is the best thing you can do for your baby. It should be the norm & it should be supported.

breast is best, choosing the healthy, natural way to feed a baby should be commended not discriminated against. It is already against the law to discriminate against women feeding babies (regardless of method). Maybe people need to be made more aware of that as well.

I'll breastfeed whenever, and wherever, my baby wants. It's normal, not something to hide!

The most natural thing ever!! If we are eating in a restaurant or having a drink in a cafe why can't our babies! Even doing it discretely can prompt 'looks' and 'whispers' unfortunately usually from older women!

more needs to be done to make people realise breastfeeding is normal and not something to be ashamed about doing and to hide in corners when feeding!!

Breastfeeding is natural, I'm not a mother and see nothing wrong with it, why should anyone else be offended by it?
