Robins City Council is considering lifting the ordinance that bans Pit-Bull dogs within the city limits. On Monday, October 6th a resident of Robins and owner of a Pit-Bull asked the City Council to remove or change the ordinance to allow for different breed of Pit-Bulls.
The City Councils response focused on why they are discussing this issue if this dog has no prior history of aggression. A decision was NOT made to remove the Pit-Bull; however they are now discussing revising the Ordinance to NOT be breed-specific as well as liability issues. This topic will be discussed again in the Nov. City Council Meeting and a ruling will be made. Until that time, a pit bull is allowed to stay in Robins city limits.
This ordinance was adopted in 2004 in response to several incidents took place. To make an exception or revise the ruling impacts our entire community. Would you want a pit bull next to your family
Please sign this online petition if you AGREE with keeping Pit-Bulls out of Robins City limits.
Thanks for your time.
The City Council continues to evaluate revisions to the current breed ordinance. I have been preparing documentation regarding the history of these safety regulations to present before the upcoming proceedings.

The momentum generated by this petition demonstrates a clear consensus among our neighbors regarding the safety of our community. This collective response confirms that the current ordinance remains a vital protection for our families.

I moved here specifically because of the ban. If they lift it I am moving out. Simple as that.

Ridiculous that they are even thinking about this. The law was there for a reason and it worked. Keep the ban in place!

LEAVE THE ORDINANCE ALONE. Why change something that is keeping people safe?

My neighbor has a dog that looks like a pit and it scares the heck out of me every time I walk by their house. NO THANKS.

Dangerous animals. Seen too many horror stories on the news. No place for them in a residential area.

Keep our neighborhood safe. I dont want to worry about my kids playing in the front yard because someone decided they need a dangerous dog.
