Sleep deprivation is a form of torture. It can be either chronic or acute. ... A chronic sleep-restricted state can cause fatigue, daytime sleepiness, clumsiness and weight loss or weight gain. It adversely affects the brain and cognitive function. NO to NIGHT TIME FLIGHTS.... Isn't this area deprived enough already?

I cannot believe that there are still people who think there can be a viable airport at Manston, let alone with night flights that are banned in many other airport locations.

This violates our right to sleep at night.
We should not be made to suffer because others think they have a good idea.
Clearly people who are unaffected by the disruption must not be allowed a voice in the decision making.

Aircraft landing and taking off during the night will cause unacceptable sleep disturbance for thousands of hard working people. Children would also have their sleep interrupted damaging their school work.

1700 flights coming in per year, 1700 flights going out, total 3400 flights,=170000 lbs of carbon dioxide being dumped from aircraft per flight mile over my house

I do not agree with night flights in a residential area, heavily populated by families with young children and elderly people.I would like to get a good night's sleep.

Even though we are quite a way from Mansion, living in Blean, when planes have approached the runway into an east wind, they are very low and very noisy!

I live directly under the flight path and have experienced flights arriving in the early hours. It is not possible for the average/normal person to avoid being disturbed whatever the statistic day. If there are night flights YOU WILL HEAR THEM.

I suppose SRG knows about this. Do we really need an MP who wants to pollute his constituents?

I’ve experienced a night flight landing at Brussels airport, a few years ago when staying with my in laws. The noise was quite unbelievable, I thought the plane was landing on the house! Having lived here, under the flight path, when Manston was still open, I definitely don’t want tO experience this again, every night!

A 24/7 cargo hub at Manston would have a disastrous effect on Ramsgate’s environment. Noise pollution would have an adverse effect on the health of the people. due diligence has not been carried out by RSP and its so-called consultation process was woefully inadequate.

The greatest heritage that needs preserving is not a runway that once had spitfires take off from. It is the beautiful town of Ramsgate with all of its listed buildings, Royal Marina and beautiful sandy beaches. Save Ramsgate from Manston,

Please read this article on a study done in Los Angeles. An airport like this is going to cover Ramsgate and anywhere up to 10 miles from the flight path with toxic levels of NOx and ultrafine particles. RSP does not really explain this and models all of the pollution as magically remaining at the airport. The pollution form these planes is worse than living on a busy motorway.

Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick all have bans on planes with a noise count of QC4 at night. However RSP are proposing QC4 flights for Manston. Apparently Thanet lives are not as important as London lives and can suffer a greater loss of quality of life. Why should we be treated as acceptable collateral damage in RSP's quest for profits for their American investors?
