Will wreck local community and not bring significant jobs and revenue to our area. Visitors will not wish to stay in an area permanently disrupted by flights.

Ramsgate is too beautiful and too much of a tourist attraction to blight in this way.

The noise impact that is so romantically glossed over by the airport fanatics, is truly horrifying reading in the RSP documents submitted to PINS.

A cargo airport at Manston would destroy Ramsgate as a pleasant place to live. Noise and pollution would be unbearable for the residents, and the town's revival as a tourist destination would stop.

The impact on the local residents is far too great to let this plan be considered. It would be committing them to a lifetime of hell!

Much of the area which would be flown over by noisy dirty cargo planes is a designated conservation zone - no alterations can be made to any property to insulate it against continual invasive noise. Include in this the harm that will be done to both residents and historic buildings by matter discharged by such aircraft and the devastation of this area will be complete.

I’m against the proposed freight hub as logistically it is totally in the wrong place in the country and all flights/night flights would devastate the town of Ramsgate and surrounding area.
I believe the true intention of the RSP is however a disguised land grab from the rightful owners who have put in a credible alternative for the site to the benefit the whole area.

The proposal for Manston is reliant on night flights and acknowledges the detrimental affect these will have on those living in Ramsgate and Herne Bay. In addition, night flights will kill the growing tourist economy and associated opportunities. There is nothing of benefit in this proposal for the local and regional community and economy.

Having spent 40 years living in West London and under the Heathrow flight path I am fully aware of the impact air traffic noise has on residents. My family’s quality of life was so badly affected, in particular by night flights, that we have recently moved to Broadstairs. The difference between the two areas is immediate and immense - our sleep and general well being is so much better. I cannot tell you enough, what you have here in Thanet, with its clear and peaceful skies, is so so precious.
