Night flights will disturb everyone and kill tourism in Thanet. The "proposed" number of jobs going to be created is fictitious, far fetched and does not make up for the disaster that will be this cargo airport

The proposed cargo hub at Manston with the inevitable night flights will have a seriously detrimental effect to anyone living under the flight path and will be a blight to the local area. The justification of a few jobs at Manston is insufficient compared with the many households who will be negativly impacted by these proposals.

No no no to night flights. Disturbing and polluting our lives and killing off the natural resources of this area.

Ludicrious idea; environmentally and for health and wellbeing, not to mention the huge impact on the towns revival and historic buildings, all for low return on job creation and lining shareholders pockets.

I do not want the noise, air Pollution, sleep disturbance and loss of tourism income that would be the result of reopening Manston Airport. Least of all as a cargo hub as proposed by River oak.

NO to ALL flights from Manston! Increased noise and pollution in the air. Higher volumes of commercial road traffic delivering to and from the airport, contributing to further pollution and traffic delays. This corner of Kent holds increasing appeal for people wishing to leave behind the hustle and bustle. A cargo airport with night flights will vastly reduce outside residential interest. Why ruin quality of life and diminish property prices? Please, please, please no airport, no planes and no night flights.

Using Manston airport as a freight hub will not be of significant advantage to those living in the area but will add significantly to pollution (including noise) levels. The infrastructure will be placed under severe pressure and the attractions of the area will be reduced undermining property values and acceptable quality of life. The greatest adverse impact will be by a change from the S106 position on flights. Healthy living will not be possible for huge numbers of people in the vicinity of the airport and flight path.

How many more times does good money get thrown after bad in the misguided aim of resurrecting a dead airport against the wishes of the people who want an enjoyable and peaceful life in Ramsgate and proper employment opportunities.

Manston is not economically viable, and the quality of life for those living under the flight path would be greatly reduced in terms of both noise and air pollution. Ramsgate should focus on providing an attractive destination for tourists, but this will be an unlikely proposition with heavy aircraft flying over the town and disturbing the sleep of the residents.
Viable alternative proposals for the use of the site have been put forward and these have the potential to create local employment. The airport has only succeeded in generating a small number of jobs and some of these have been filled by skilled workers from outside the local area.

The vibration of the planes will destroy my house. The company trying to operate the airport are not a credible organisation. They alter things to suet them selves. The MP for north Thanet has no idea and is not in the real world and doesn't have a care in the world about ramsgate. The Thanet south MP doesn't live here so he isn't bothered about ramsgate.

There are viable alternatives for Manston apart from reopening as an airport, which would make no sense economically and generate massive nuisances due to noise and huge traffic jams all around Kent because of the goods and passengers being transported to and from Manston.
