No night flights at Manston

There are viable alternatives for Manston apart from reopening as an airport, which would make no sense economically and generate massive nuisances due to noise and huge traffic jams all around Kent because of the goods and passengers being transported to and from Manston.

Manston has been proved unviable as an airport, and cargo flights round the clock would not only destroy our quality of life in Thanet, but also guarantee gridlock with lorries all around.

I wish to be able to sleep at night so to be able to function in the daytime! It has been lovely since the airport shut down. I remember the old freight planes being SO noisy.

Unviable and Impossible proposal. Night flights would destroy the lives of all those living in the area.

This scheme is totally mad. Who, in their right mind and living within miles of Ramsgate, would want ANY aircraft thundering overhead, any time of the day or night! OK already, possibly jobs for a hundred or so people who probably don't even live here, but at what expense? To be at all viable, it would have to be functioning 24/7! The re-opening of this airport would result in the utter destruction of the quality of life for all inhabitants of Ramsgate (other than those profoundly deaf). If Manston re-opens, I for one, with my hand on my heart, shall be moving away.

If this airport re-opens, for ANY flights, I shall leave Ramsgate. I wanted to stay here until the day I die but may have to bring the date forward - not my death, just moving away :)

We fully support Stone Hill Park plans, Manston has had its chance for the past 18 years of loss making. As Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome"
