Residents are being urged to sacrifice their sleep and their peace of mind in the interests of 'job creation' in Thanet. It is plainly most unlikely that most jobs so created will be for aviation specalists, very few of whom will be locals.

Unviable venture, that if successful would blight Thanet. The profits would go to the owners not the people of Thanet

Night flights would absolutely destroy the work that Thanet has done to become a tourist hotspot. No one wants to go on holiday and be kept up all night by planes.

Noise, aviation fuel, truck movements and an insufferable amount of flights will pollute and destroy the amenity of all who live under the flight path. This latest threat to the health and well-being for people from Ramsgate to Herne Bay, namely a 24/7 cargo hub airport is just closing its so-called consultation (23 July 2017) where the people who will be directly affected have been left out of a significant part of the process. Ramsgate, having been left in the shadows of Margate is now proving to many to be a great place to live, and a fantastic tourist destination. To despoil this with juggernauts in the sky, many more truck movements and very few real jobs will achieve not only killing the trade that people have worked hard to build-up, but permanently blighting the town, reducing property prices significantly and reinforcing Ramsgate's destiny as a place to concentrate class cleansing from our area and from London. This proposal is nothing short of criminal. Many millions of our money has been wasted on negotiating an operating future for the airport - a dead duck in all senses of any benefit to the people who live here.

I strongly object to proposals for a 24/7 cargo hub airport. These proposals will severely damage the health and wellbeing of local residents, it will have an extremely detrimental impact on the environment and our local structure and it will seriously damage our thriving and growing tourism and leisure sector. There is real opportunity for jobs and regeneration on that site and those opportunities are currently blighted through the pursuit of this scheme by a Belize-owned company, only recently set up. Yes, to jobs, yes to regeneration and no to a noisy, polluting airport that would bring no benefits at all.
