South Shore High School should remain for its history in the neighborhood in which bares the same name and the backbone of a community.

My family and friends attended south shore and my son was the first graduating class of new international College prep Class of 2015. It would be a disgrace to take the legacy that was built in the community of this school. Have Diet highs school name after Willie Barrows that was her community down there.

Please do not change the name of my school change the testing scores help rebuild a better south Shore school and community it's three generations and I lived on 7641 Bennett so to take away a legacy of tradition and great work of leadership would be an injustice to the community for the kids there now just go they don't know the great history of my former high school so it should start now showing and teaching them the history in keeping the tradition alive and growing and showing them what pride and respect is for their school and community thank you

Name does not need changing.. If changed should be after someone associated with the school

There is nothing wrong with the name. I respect the contributions of the late "Little Warrior," but I am sure there are other ways to honor her than changing the name of the school.

There is no reason to change the name of South Shore High School. How many high schools in black areas carry thr name of their communities; especially good schools? This name change is pointless and shouldn't be a discussion.

I'm glad to see folks getting involved with supporting the school. I thought I was getting a good education at South Shore, and as soon as I got out into the world, I learned what a GREAT education I earned.

South Shore needs to keep its name an identity. Respectfully, I believe those seeking to change the name are woefully uniformed of the history of our school.

Class of 74. Please don't change our school's name. I've been in this community since 1967. I attended both Bryn Mawr and South Shore. I still reside in South Shore. Our high school is a part of our community, our childhood and our children's. Why is it so important for outsiders to change the name of a school in a neighborhhood they don't live in?
