I am a proud graduate of South Shore HS ('68). The school has a proud history and should not be confined to the dust bowl of history.

I don't see a need now to change the school's name. Let's work on opening new schools in our communities

Willie T Barrows was a wonderful, spiritual and a true inspiration to my life but South Shore helped me in so many great ways. I would love to see this name to stay.Maybe name a room such as the music room after her.

I graduated from this school. South Shore has provided a lifetime of memories achievements and accomplishments it would be a shame to see someone change its name !

the school should represent the community and is part of the community. The school would lose its identity of the name is changed.

There should not be a name change to this historical high school which has been one of the staples in this community for ALL people.

The Jackson family moved in the South Shore area in 1970, when the new building was built. The name is a part of the South Shore history. Is this how we erase history?
