Its time to move on from the Kennedy name in New Ross. I completely agree that it should be an open competition, PLEASE DONT NAME IT AFTER COUNCILLORS! No religion, no patriots. Why not call it what it is - Barrow Bridge.

Why not name it after Eugene O Neill the great Irish American novelist/playwrite . His great grandfather came from south Kilkenny

I think it should be called Doyle's Bridge in memory of my Dad Patrick Doyle who had a accident tragically lost his life taking down the old bridge in 1968 and was never acknolaged not even a Plack

Very disappointed and shows complete lack of imagination, New Ross is so much more than the Kennedy connection and given the year that's in it a 1916 connection shouldn't be overlooked

Pink Rock and landscape are the areas is been constructed near.The local residents should have an I'm put also.Also the barrow flows under it also.plus the Norman tower on the hill near landscape is another medieval land mark.
