While I don't have any problem with bridge being called after Rose Kennedy, I strongly believe that the people of New Ross area and South Kilkenny should decide or have an input into the name of this bridge.

I think that a new name needs to be picked and leave the public to decide, too many things in New Ross called after the Kennedys

We can surely start coming up with other naming conventions other than referencing the Kennedy family so much. Let's put it to public vote & get their input - why not ask people to submit suggestions, shortlist 5-10 and then get the public to vote via online questionnaire & some physical means.

Absolutely NO to another thing called after the Kennedys, even though the homestead is not far away from where the bridge will land in County Wexford. Enough already! I like the idea of a public consideration to name the bridge - seems a good way to go.

There are plenty more people who have done work that actually benefited the area. Why not honour and highlight some of the unsung everyday heroes every town has.

I oppose the naming of this bridge, mainly, because New Ross has more than enough Kennedy named tributes, it's about time New ross council considered a person who has contributed much to the town to deserve their name on the bridge.

Under no circumstances should the new bridge be named after jfk's mum. I totally oppose it been named after Rose Kennedy. It's great if American tourist want to visit New Ross but however particularly in this centary year would it not be better to name it after an Irish person who the Irish people should vote to have the bridge named after them.
