Please call the bridge after someone who actually did something positive for the town and hailed from there. Rose Kennedy was a great ambassador for the US to Ireland but surely we can be more inventive?
Consult the people of New Ross. The bridge will be a landmark and therefore warrants a name reflecting it's location.
My suggestion 'William Marshall' as it also helps tie in to the promotion of Ireland's Ancient East

The people of New Ross & of Glenmore area should have the right to choose the name of this bridge & it certainly shouldn't be named after a Woman that has never set foot in the town.

Should be a name that is popular amongst Rossonians and people from south Kilkenny who use the bridge just as frequently. I do believe the 1798 rebellion should be referenced in some manner of means but that's just a personal opinion
