We have lived on Hendry ave for the past 8 years and still haven't gotten used to the traffic volume, ranging from the constant drone of traffic all day long, to the trucks engine braking down the hill, to the boy-racers racing each at 2am, to what seems to be the ever-present emergency services racing off to an emergency. The new tunnel has undoubtedly increased traffic volume and the hours across each day that this noise is present.

The noise from the motorway since the opening of the Waterview tunnel is to say the least very annoying and now for extended hours. Would you or the councillors put up with it in your area , I DOUBT IT , cmon give the nearby residents a break and do something about it .

I have first noticed the increase in the noise level when the Queenstown off ramp was opened. Since then it has increased and if I don't wake up early, I'm now woken up by the noise.

When I wake up,early in the morning and hear the cars, trucks, motor bikes, vans and articulated vehicles, I feel as if I am under siege in my own neighbourhood.

The noise level has gone up significantly since the tunnel opened. Especially now the 'peak traffic hour' seems to extend till after 7pm, the noise in the night and early mornings (from 4:30am onwards) with trucks driving trough the motorway with loud breaks or horns, makes life very hard for family with young children wanting to sleep.

It is simply a disrespectful act form the council not taking into consideration the residents, they should have planned this before the tunnel opened
