Noise is too bad and in the night time it really disturbs the sleep. We use to have so many trees on Hendry Ave before the motorway was done. But to replace them few small trees have been planted which is not grown big?. We are residing in Stephen Lysnar place still we can hear the noises . As residents of this street we require noise barrier now. Water view tunnel was opened (not on the scheduled time ),but at least these noise barriers would have been raised for the residents of Hendry Ave and Stephen Lysnar Place. NZTA please consider this as a major problem of the residents and rectify the issue.

Hendry Avenue is very bad and other streets near by is equally bad. We need to have noise barrier put before opening up of the Tunnel.

The noise from the motorway is getting worse and vey annoying, and we can not have a good rest during the day even night time, NZTA should do somthing to mitigate the noise along Hendry Ave.,

The noise from the motorway has gone from bad to worse. It is more than just plain car engine accelerating, braking noise, it came with unpleasant vibration to the house, e.g. floor and window. NZTA never really finished off the noise barrier in the first place. The noise barrier basically stopped right in front of 61 and 63 Hendry Ave. NZTA needs to upgrade the current noise barrier (design & material used) so it can effectively mitigate noise based on the increasing traffic flow.

All residents on Hendry should be treated with respect. NZTA please preserve the rights of the residents to continue to have peaceful home to return to. Any changes you make to the environment of an existing resident should be made to preserve or improve their home and environment without detriment to those who live there. Man up NZTA and don't make excuses.

79a Hendry Avenue,
I have already spent considerable money on double glazing this year. The noise is almost constant with trucks, buses ,motorcycles and sports mufflers the worst offenders. Even a centre barrier would halve the noise on our side of the motorway.Bel Air Drive is just as bad with noise due to the valley we are in. All the road noise is amplified due to the landscape..NZTA seems great at creating community problems and then hiding their heads in the sand when confronted.
