We moved to Clemmons from Charlotte 35 years ago to recapture a quality of life that had been destroyed by growth for growth's sake. Clemmons is now on the cusps of making the same mistakes that impacted the quiet enjoyment and value of our residential neighborhood in Charlotte.
Clemmons West, Bluestone, Hunters Run, Peppertree and other residential areas will be negatively impacted in the same ways and with the same results - those who can will leave.
Clemmons became the Village we enjoy today by offering quiet residential homes of good value, not huge business parks.

These counts are for the entire park after build out; Beafurn is phase 1 and a relatively small part of the industrial footprint planned for the park. These numbers are actually lower than number subsequently discussed by the county.

We have lived in Clemmons West for over 34 years., one lot away from Idols Road. Our home value would take a beating with the proposed industrial park. Plus, there is no way the current roads leading to/from I-40 could handle the increased truck and employee auto traffic. For homes on or near Idols Road, the noise (from both the traffic and the bussinesses) would be terrible. Residential housing similar to Clemmons West would be a much better use of the land.

It said: '...the company currently has 33 employees and expects to add 15 new full-time employees over the next five years...' It is a small operation. Where is this 2,970 trips per day, of which 80 per day are expected to be truck trips (40% transiting Middlebrook Road) numbers came from???

This will ruin property values and the tranquil areas residents live in. Any development should be residential only. This will cause some residents to move to other area. Protect the residents.

My wife and I want to keep this area for residential, county park use only. Keep out the industrial park and to raise revenues allow for 1/2 the proposed site restricted to single family homes from $200K and up, on the other half of the property only allow for hiking trails.

I'm against the proposed Industrial Park. After 36 years living in Clemmons, I see no reason to place an industrial park at this location where the increased traffic will be on Idols and Middlebrook. If growth (tax base) is what the village of Clemmons is looking for then there must certainly be other locations more suitable for an Industrial park closer to I40.

This site is too far away from I-40. Idols Road, Middlebrook Road and Lewisville Clemmons Road can not handle this truck traffic. The full picture is not being evaluated. The Clemmons West neighborhood will be destroyed. The professionals in this neighborhood will move out. Residents will not be able to get out onto Middlebrook Road with all the truck traffic that this Industrial Park will bring.
This is not the proper sight for an industrial park. Industrial Parks should be close to I-40 for easy access. Lewisville Clemmons Road is already a scene of many accidents. The last thing this street needs is 300 trucks going up and down it a day.
