Fishing is all part of a coastal community and should be allowed to continue without charges. Residents and tourists love to see fishermen carrying on traditions.

If this was to go ahead it will stop me and my children visiting Minehead and spending money within the community and also prevent me finding a safe spot for fishing with children.

this is absurd ive been fishing these piers for my whole life..anyone challenging me for money just to line councils pockets will see my boot up their arse and end up going for a swim !!

I've been visiting West Somerset and fishing for over 30 years. Minehead and Watchet attract visitors from all over the southern half of the UK to fish, because the fishing is pretty good. It would be shortsighted to do anything which could have a negative impact on those visitors.
