Dear Principal:
We understand that our fourth-grade class has been slated for field testing this spring. We are writing to let you know that we, the undersigned, are requesting our fourth-grade classes not participate in these tests.
Our children are already over-tested and we do not support yet another state assessment that will take away valuable instructional time. Field tests use our children as unwilling and unpaid participants for market research so that testing companies can create their products, without parental consent.
We are requesting our grade, as a collective, not participate in field testing.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
This will take away even more time from the arts program and any project base learning as well does not go with the philosophy of the school having a progressive approach. What are we considering this?
