AGAINST Tanglewood Events Center

Don’t ruin a beautiful park and the people who live near their

Stop building on every square inch of grass, it has gotten ridiculous!! There are plenty other options for concerts and noisy events. Stop crapping on home owners for the sake of “progress”.

I strongly oppose this events center in Tanglewood park.

Please keep in mind the historical and preservation aspect of this beautiful park.

A building project of this size should be shared with public much earlier then this. This will increase traffic and take away a vital Part of Tanglewood Park I am opposed to this as this also effect noise level to us living close to Tanglewood

Please do not build this. This park would be very detrimental to the wildlife of all kinds. This is NOT a good idea.

I have used Tanglewood Park for over thirty years. I purchase a parking permit yearly to support the park's ability to maintain the naturalism and walking paths. I use the Park's walking paths several times a week. The shared beauty of the Park involves the stables, training/practice corrals and grazing areas. This is the only reliable grazing area that doesn't flood and get muddy. This will be your new parking lot! The other big natural area floods yearly and or is seasonally muddy. It will be a shame to remove the grazing area and training corral for an occasionally used structure and parking lot. In addition, the traffic flow to the Event Center would be another travesty to the Park and wildlife preserve that the Park serves to maintain. To those who believe an occasionally used event Center is a good decision: you're only looking at blueprints! You haven't spent any constructive [seasonal] time at the Park walking, seeing how the horses use the proposed areas, observing the wildlife in the proposed area including bluebird colonies that nest in this area. You will destroy the essence and aesthetics of the Park with a structure and parking lot that will questionably be cost effective but will permanently disfigure a great natural attraction.

Why destroy a park? Keep the nature so everyone can enjoy it

There are few places where the public can go for solitude and to enjoy beauty and elegance. This was the intent of the Reynolds family when they donated the land. Honor their wishes. Also, you have people who are tax payers who live close. Honor their wishes as well.

This would destroy our "Small-Town" community. Not to mention the traffic nightmare!:(.

Not needed. We have numerous other meeting and convention facilities nearby. Would add to traffic congestion inthe park, and impact natural space, wildlife, and vegetation that is fast disappearing nearby. Go build it at Hanes Park.

Please don’t build an event center where the horse pasture is. Every time I walk on the trail loop I go for solitude and reflection. Please please do t take that away from people. Find a different location if you must but this is so important to me and I cannot be alone. We need this green space left undeveloped.

I do not want a parking lot behind the houses on my street.

Don't pave paradise to put up a parking lot.

The proposed events center will come at a terrible cost beyond financial. Without adequate planning to account for traffic, much of Clemmons will be affected by the new traffic excess. It might actually have a negative impact on business in the TW area and people will avoid them during event traffic. Storm water runoff and the protection of surrounding streams and rivers is also a concern. The events center would also have a detrimental impact on the park itself, perhaps causing fewer to use it as it was intended to be used. Not a great plan at all. Stop the plans now.

The noise will be a disturbance to my sisters neighbor hood
