On November 18th, the New York State Legislature is returning to Albany to cut billions from the current FY2008-09 State Budget. It is imperative that Medicaid, Care for the Uninsured and Migrant Healthcare are not put under the knife. Cutting these programs means cutting critical funding to the state's network of over 50 Community Health Centers. Without fully funded health centers, the healthcare safety net will weaken, more people will use their Emergency Rooms for primary care and the cost to the taxpayer will be event greater.
The feedback from our network shows how vital these centers are to our neighborhoods. Use the link below to send a quick email to your state representative demanding they protect our healthcare funding. We must keep the pressure on our officials before they head to Albany.

My local clinic is literally the only place me and my kids can go. If they close this down where are we supposed to go? Please dont do this.

These centers do so much good work in our neighborhood. Dont let the budget cuts hurt the people who actually need help the most.

TOTAL INSANITY. Cutting health centers just means everyone ends up in the ER which costs way more anyway. Do the math.
