I appreciate that change is necessary. First my motto, "Be all that you can be", then the loss of my highly shined boots, patrol cap and starched uniform ... now this new Army Service Uniform (ASU).
I am surrounded by personnel that have expressed their extreme displeasure over this new uniform. I am passionate about what my military uniforms represent - strength, honor and distinction.
Soldiers asked for an Army uniform that represents the traditions of our service, looks good in appearance and fit, and generates the pride Soldiers want when representing the premier service of the United States.
All other branches of service already wear blue uniforms. The largest and oldest established military deserves a vastly different uniform. PLease help me in getting our message to the senior Army leadership. Thank you.
I have been reading your messages about what our uniform represents and the stories you share are deeply moving. This has grown into something much larger than I ever imagined possible because of the passion you all bring to this conversation.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum behind this request. It is clearly your shared passion and commitment to our service traditions that is driving this forward. This belongs entirely to you and I am just humbled to be a part of it.

Agreed. The greens were iconic. This new stuff is a joke.

Bring back the greens. The blues look like a bus driver uniform. We need to look like soldiers not airline staff.

Total waste of money and it looks terrible. My husband hates wearing it. Bring back the class a uniform that actually has some history behind it.
