Literature is artistic writing that helps broaden the minds of everyone who wishes to learn. Surpressing this artistic expression in a public school is wrong. Students and parents put faith in the teachers that they will receive the best education possible. Denying certain literature to students because it paints a raw and intense reality that some people face in every day life is no way to educate. Northridge Schools located Johnstown Ohio has recently come under fire for several books that are assigned to students for reading. Among them "Chocolate Wars", "The Catcher and the Rye", and "To Kill A Mocking Bird". Many of the people opposed to these books have never even read them. These books are considered classics by many and vulgar by few. If you support these and other literature to be presented in Northridge schools please sign this petition and help stop this censorship.

Ridiculous. Bunch of people complaining about books they havent even opened. Leave the teaching to the teachers and get over it.

My kid read mockingbird last year and it actually opened up a great conversation at home. Stop trying to hide the world from these kids they need to see reality.
