EdF energy have, after putting in a plannning application to West Somerset District Council at the end of November 2010, cyncically bought themselves platinum corporate membership of Somerset Wildlife Trust. This petition is to put pressure on the wildlife trust to take a moral position about EdF's corporate practises. For a mesely £900 pounds EdF have bought themselves a statement about corporate responsibility and the right to splash around the wildlife trust logo, as well as other perks, enabling themselves to greenwash their image. I would urge members of the trust to reconsider the postion in terms of future memebrship of the trust as EdF and SWT dont make comfortable bedfellows.
