It is proposed to install 33m to 45m pylons along this stretch of the River Moy to carry the power lines. This stretch of the River Moy is a natural beauty and is an amenity used by many locals and tourists for salmon and trout fishing. We welcome many tourists from the UK, France, Germany, Russia etc. each year. There are also several families living very close to the proposed route.
The installation of these overhead extra high voltage power lines and pylons will cause un-tolled damage to tourism, the environment and health. It is known that the possibility of extra high voltage power lines causing higher incidences of childhood leukaemia and other serious illnesses cannot be excluded. The installation of these overhead extra high voltage power lines and pylons is not an acceptable solution.

The moy is a treasure and needs to be left alone. No pylons in our valley.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. STOP TRYING TO RUIN THE BEST FISHING SPOT IN MAYO WITH THESE UGLY THINGS.
Think of the tourists and the health of the local kids. There has to be a better way than putting up giant pylons right by the water.
My family have fished this river for three generations. Put the cables underground if you really need them.
