I haven't listened to Steve Wright on the radio since the 1980's. However, I remember how bizarre and obscure his comments were on T.V's TOTP 2 programme a few years ago. It was a good programme, but I felt he was intruding on and spoiling our memories with his weird comments.

I listen to Radio 2, all the DJ's and shows are great, EXCEPT from Steve Wright, hes just plain awful, he laughs at things that simply arnt funny, then again if he didnt laugh at him self, who else would?; plays atrocious music! Has second rate co hosts, he talks like a child, behaves like one and expects us to like him for it, I actively avoid his show when possible. I dread him coming on the radio and celebrate when his show finishes. He is boring,stayed, stale & just downright awful. His format hasnt changed for DECADES, the BBC is known for sacking people at their prime etc, cant they take the hint and get rid of this guy, It wouldnt be so bad if the music he played wasnt so unlistenable, and with the songs you can listen to he talks to, and sings or hums or comments over them, ruining the whole song. He is so unprofessional it’s astounding. Singing over almost every song, cutting songs short to play his awful jingles. Not to mention reading out the news and weather during his show despite the fact there’s is 1 before and after and 2 during!!

Very dated, the show needs a complete revamp I’m sorry to say. Regrettably this show has seen better days and vastly needs changing.
