They will only apply the laws to those who work hard and are the responsible owners, I have been a victim of the dysfunctional and evil justice system, and the Municipalities vindictive harassment causing my life to become frail and unsettled because I helped to take and rehome unwanted animals which were living and dying on the streets due to the failure of the Authorities to do their job correctly. They are idiots without any qualification or brain. Laws like these will be twisted to victimise those who are good people all for gaining money and causing further distress. I left this country because they are spiteful and cruel to people, as well as animals!!

people trying to help the animals will be the victims of this not the hunters and those who abuse them

This law is completely ridiculous. We do not need this now, on top of everything else when we are desperately trying to save and re home unwanted & abused dogs!

its the people that own multiple dogs that are helping not hindering the state of animal welfare in Cyprus. This law has it ass backwards.

This law is unacceptable and was obviously drawn up without proper consultation with relevant organisations. Repeat - completely unacceptable. And what idf somebody currently has more pets? Are they supposed to be handed over for euthanasia? Ridiculous!

Pointless bureaucratic madness, designed only to raise petty fines by persecuting those actually tackling the problem!

As long as you love and can care for the pets in your home then the government has no right to tell you how many animals you can have.....unacceptable.

we humans cannot pass a dog in the street that has been injured, dumped when owners have had enough of them..and have been left to die and suffer on streets in the heat and cold ,looking like skelingtons....what ham is it doing having many dogs at our expence..will there be a law on how many children a household can have ????? no...and more children are doing more harm than good to animanls..and make a lot of noise but no one says nothing.......so i do not agree with this new law...we are just picking up the pieces of irrasponciple people. !!!!

This law is not addressing the problem. The Government should should appoint a government vet in each town Nicosia Limassol Larnaca and Famagusta solely for the purpose of neutering cats and dogs free of charge to the public as this will be a service to the public. Together with a media campaign, mass free neutering would turn the tide of the forever escalating problem of animal cruelty on the island.

I disagree on this law as we are the only ones to try to help all the animals where no one else like the government gives a shit!! There is no logical thinking in this law... Shame on you

If there are more registered dogs in homes, there will be less dogs on the street! Gov. should implement laws on Neutering, and subsidize this project!!!
