Heavy Base causes me much more serious problems than annoyance ! The pressure Waves that these systems cause translates directly to pressure in my head and chest followed by fight or flight syndrome. I've seen others have an even more serious reaction than I do . Whether they know it or not these stereos are a weapon for people to exert their inconsiderate nature on others. Low-frequency vibration comes from car stereo when people stop to buy pizza next corner. It literally drives me nuts. I asked some of them to turn the bass off and never saw much understanding on their part. We definitely need a more strict law banning use of low-frequency car amplifiers in neighborhoods. I'm not insisting on any pattern in racial representation of violators but all I encountered doing this were either of AA or LA origin.

Clearly you have no knowledge of what goes on in the inner city neighborhoods. Inner city black kids are not working jobs to buy these stereo systems, they are selling drugs to other kids. Either that or they stole them right out of somebody's car. Either that or somebody traded them for drugs. On top of that they are ripping each other off left and right for these stupid bass systems. Kids are breaking into cars and into homes just to steal these things and sell them on the street. So it's raising crime in the inner cities as well. I'd like to say again, before you post something so obliviously stupid, try spending some time in a real ghetto, or try living in one for a few months. Either that or shut your stupid mouth about things you have no knowledge of.

There is literally no point in having high decibel amplifiers/stereos other than: 1. To damage your inner ear. 2. To draw attention to yourself and annoy people. Also, I'd like to point out that lower, bass frequencies travel through walls the most. When one of these bass stereos are playing on the street, people can literally hear it from inside their homes. It wakes up infants, rattles tables, and annoys people which raises everyone's overall stress level. I have no problem with people having a hobby, until that hobby starts to intrude in my life. There is a time and place for everything. It's a public street, not a concert venue. Do everyone a favor and sign this petition.

These pro bassers are the people that park their cars in neighborhoods they don't live in, smoke weed, and blast music at midnight thinking it's cool. Because if they do it in front of their moms house, they might get in trouble. These are the same tools that make the tobacco industry rich. They are severely ignorant to their own ignorance. I don't have any prolem with loud bass. Go to a rave. Stop taking it to my neighborhood. Stop pretending you are the party and grow up.

If loud bass is the only thing that keeps you from being a crack head then you are an idiot. I know people who use loud bass and do coke and ex. It does NOTHING to help you off of drugs. In fact it is the complete opposite. DRUGS AND LOUD MUSIC GO HAND AND HAND BUDDY.

Please pass a law against car bass as well as car and motorcycle mufflers. These offenders devalue every single house or property they drive by. This is clearly represented by the lower real estate values of houses with any proximity to main streets. My wife and I are both suffering from adrenal fatigue brought on by the continuous stress of living in a neighborhood where there is a constant stream of car bass and loud mufflers. We have wasted thousands of dollars in soundproofing materials for our home, but there is no escaping the invasive and terrorizing assault of vibrations coming from the vehicles of these myopic contributors of disruption.

Fines should be more expensive.....
