It is bad enough that CDOT is putting in the widening of Arapahoe, we don't need this as well. I live on Briarwood Ave.

No! A neighborhood with kids doesn't need more traffic running through it.

My childhood neighborhood! That area is becoming too congested as it is, don't pave paradise to put up a parking lot

Aaron Latimer - As a real estate agent and having lived in several properties in Walnut Hills since I was in middle school back in the early 90's, I can tell you that rezoning this property so that a parking lot can be added for business purposes will certainly have a negative effect on property values for the surrounding residential real estate. The developers who originally developed the subject business property should have taken current (at the time it was build) and future parking concerns into consideration when building the subject business property.

They have been doing ok with the parking they have. Don't change our neighborhood for someone else's profit.

I am against the rezoning of the two lots totaling .946 acres as it may open the door for strip zoning within our Walnut Hills Community. The applicant was aware of the parking restrictions prior to setting up a business there.

It was a mistake to build the building in the first place. The fact is that they didn't have enough parking was an issue before they even built. Not our problem that they didn't think ahead.

I'm opposed to rezoning a residential lot within my neighborhood for the purposes of building a parking lot. It seems that a parking lot placed in this location would significantly increase congestion at the intersection of Yosemite and Arapahoe. Additionally, what businesses or public interests would be served by adding a small parking area within the boundaries of this lot. It seems that such a lot would only functionally serve the office building at the corner of Arapahoe and Yosemite, and that structure has been there for a long time - why is parking only now becoming a concern. Why should our neighborhood be diminished because the developer for that structure didn't create sufficient parking decades ago when it was built?

While I believe in local business development, it should it not encroach into zoned residential areas. If the community wishes to rezone after knowing all the facts, I'm in support of the process. This process seems to be not as transparent as it should be considering the ramifications.

As a homeowner in Walnut Hills, I am against the removal of two homes for the purpose of expanding a commercial parking lot into our neighborhood.
Please don't put a parking lot here.
