NO Zoning Change for Clairmont Park

Please do not destroy out beautiful neighborhood by added low income rental properties right in the middle. VOTE NO!!

Would rather see homes similar to the existing homes.

My name is Wil Bradford and I live at 2263 Clairmont Drive. I am not in favor of the proposed zoning change as well as the unnamed stipulations that would come along with it if it were approved. If the proposed zoning change were to pass it would create many negative situations in our neighborhood such as decrease in the property value as well as diminish the quality of the structures currently in Clairmont. It would also allow for a much more dense population of occupants which would increase traffic not only throughout our neighborhood, but also in the associated single lane and unstriped roads leading up to the neighborhood. Additionally the future demand of the increased population would exhaust the existing utilities/infrastructure “downstream” that are presently installed. As a father of two young children I also have serious concerns for the well-being and safety of my family as the volume of traffic and people would exponentially increase. I’ve heard rumors of a second entrance into the neighborhood that would also create numerous hazards which leads me to my next issue - there hasn’t even been any support documentation submitted in attempt to justify this proposed zoning change (traffic study, survey, geotechnical reports, proposed master plan, etc). Without these documents I don’t see how the City of Leeds can approve this request. I understand the owner/developer wanting to complete a build-out on their property, but it needs to align with the standard that currently exists in the size of lots as well as the size and style of the structures/houses. Please do not permit the zoning change and thank you for your time.

I do NOT want Leeds to allow this re-zoning. It not only hurts full size home evaluations but would create a worse traffic problem than we have now.

We do not want this proposed construction in our neighborhood. We have been on Laurent Drive almost 2 years and the traffic has increased on Weaver Avenue so much already. Not to mention the home values. Ours is a No to this extension.

I am 100% opposed to the rezoning. Please don’t ignore the people it affects on this issue.

I disagree with the proposed zoning changes. We have been led astray regarding a development to our front border and do not need even additional homes surrounding our neighborhood. The abundance of vehicles in the roads, both parked and moving, will cause a major safety issue for those of us who consistently play/walk/run/ride bikes/etc. in the neighborhood. Furthermore, Weaver Ave cannot sustain the additional traffic of the added homes. It’s condition is deteriorating by the day and the additional cars/construction equipment will only make it worse. I vote no. Thank you.

Please do not destroy our subdivision

No changes needed to the zoning for our community! The changes suggested in the letter would decrease our home values, cause more traffic and road problems.

2246 Clairmont Dr

I am a 3-year resident of Clairmont Park. I am strongly opposed to the rezoning of Clairmont Park proposed by Jack Falletta. The proposed zoning change will increase the traffic flow through our subdivision and reduce the property values of our homes. I pray the Leeds zoning board/City Council will hear the residents voices of Clairmont Park and will deny the rezoning change.

The 4 way at Walmart can’t handle the traffic it has now and that’s not including the 62 rental homes that just were put up. I also didn’t buy a 280k house to have a patio home right next door to me.
