My wife is expecting in 5 weeks. she is so upset over this. I have to continually try to keep her positive each day. it's our first baby and she is terrified of doing it all alone. the most important thing for me (ahead of seeing the birth of my child-which obviously I do want so much as well) is to help my partner through this, nd at the times she feels lowest just tell her everything is going to be ok. We are in isolation the last two weeks doing everything we can to not get virus and I still can't go with her. I will be outside of the hospital in my car and until my wife and baby are ready to come home. just so she knows I am close by and might feel some sort of support from me.

I want to be there flint only for the birth of my child but to support my partner on our first baby. This shouldn’t even be questionable. Women deserve this it’s a human right, virus or no virus.

I am a first time mum due in 6 weeks and the thought of not having my husband with me absolutely terrifies me.. giving birth is already a very scary time with lots of anxiety as it is, now worse with the virus at the minute. I know the midwifes and doctors will be there but it not the same as having your trusted birthing partner there.. this decision not only is affecting pregnant woman who are due soon and during the birth but this will have a huge affect on our mental health now and after.. I pray this decision is changed and women can have their birthing partners with them

Not pregnant at the moment, but the thought of being on my own, or any lady being on their own for such a huge life experience is so scary

I think it's just as important that the partner is there in the birth processes so as a family it's the time for that Ulimate bond that you now share as a family
