Why are we exposing our children to radio frequency which has been shown to increase risks to people, especially young children? Shame on the city council if they approve this tower. You already did a disservice to the children by installing one years ago. Who knows what risks our students have taken as a result. Stop this new request by verizon NOW!!

Our kids safety is highest priority for us as well as for the schools. We can't compromise it under any circumstances. We don't want our kids to be treated as guinea pigs as we are not sure about radiation effects. In addition there are other hazards of having such big structure near our kids, e.g, earthquake, explosion etc. No cell tower at any school of CUSD and of FUHSD..

Decision makers should have known the possible health risks and parents' concerns. Why do they still let it happen near our schools?!

No wireless tower in any school. It is a serious matter. Studies of harmful effects are not conclusive. Under this circumstance we cannot take chances with kids health and well being. I would ask the Wireless company and the City to tell us what other options exist for the tower, including technology options, location options etc., and why the school was chosen. The proposal is very ill conceived, and it appears that the city has given up on its residents.

This book talks about how scientific research shows that people who live or work within 500 feet of a tower report genetic, growth and reproductive effects and an increased risk of cancer: http://www.amazon.com/An-Electronic-Silent-Spring-Creating/dp/1938685083
