No Turn and No Thru signs to Ease WAZE Traffic on Reliez Valley Rd.

We need help!

Please help reduce traffic on Reliez Vally Rd traffic between the hours of 7-8:30am so our children to get to school on time without having to wake up with the roosters!

Great ideas. Traffic is very frustrating.

There is clearly something wrong with the way traffic flows (or rather does not flow) on Reliez Valley Road on weekday mornings. The issue continues to get worse, which requires prompt action or people will simply move, property values decline and local tax revenue with it.

Fully support this effort. Commuter Traffic is becoming unbearable.

My children - and other's children - walk to bus stops on a sidewalk along Reliez in the Withers/Gloria Terrace Area. Drivers come "flying" down this part of Reliez in the morning. Plus, There's a subtle curve adding to the danger level. Heaven forbid the speeders are also distracted! These proposed changes will hopefully impact the number of hurried drivers winding their way through the neighborhood. (Not only are there school children, but many residents are out walking)

I live 1 1/2 miles from Springhill and most days takes me 20+ minutes to get my kids to school.

Yes, local traffic will be allowed to turn and go through per the agreement. Agreed.

Signs should state limitations that exclude school buses ***and local traffic***. Local traffic should be allowed to turn/through routes unimpeded.

Our kids 30-40min/4 mile commute to school everyday needs to end

Pleasant Hill Road is a road of regional significance and the traffic should remain on this road. Reliez Valley Road is classified as a Scenic Road and designed to handle local traffic. More importantly, this is a school bus route, and the volume of traffic is causing difficulty for buses to get to school on time. We need to direct traffic to the appropriate roads. It is a small window of time that we are asking for to enable local children to arrive at school in a timely manner. Study after study says schools start too early in the morning for teenagers, yet they must leave for school extraordinarily early to battle the commute. We as a community need to make this a priority.

Growing up on the border of Lafayette I have always been forced to wake up earlier than my classmates. I usually have to leave for Acalanes at around 7:10 to be able to get a parking spot for school which starts at 8:05. On wednesdays we leave at 7:30 for school wich starts at 8:35. The commute to school has gotten longer every year. I hope that installing these signs on withers, gloria terrace and grayson can help minimize the traffic!

In addition, no left turn on reliez Valley Road from Pleasant Hill Road between 7-9 am thereby making it one way. 1 of these lanes should be HOV with a minimum of three people

I live off Reliez Valley Road. The time, which would usually take only two minutes to take my children to school, sometimes takes more than 20 min.. The drivers often speed past the speed limit, as if they own the road. There are too many children walking on the side walk, who should not be exposed to reckless drivers.

I run early AM from McGraw off Reliez to Briones and back again. Last week fellow Springhill moms and myself were laughing that I was able to run the 1 mile incline from Baywood to Silverdell way faster than several friends stuck in traffic... Daily I bike the 3/4 miles to school with my kids for the same reason...it is completely out of control.
