We have been lied to about some things. A Rock Creek exit wont work. The neighborhood is so congested already. Ed Noble parkway has been pronounced dead.

I am grateful to those citizens who have studied this proposal with such intelligent care and also to Fred Gipson for calling out the illegal lack of transparency in promotion of this proposal.

The last thing we need in Norman is another huge project by I-35. Let's support local businesses in Norman's core along with the highway-side businesses we already have along Ed Noble Parkway, as well as implementing stormwater solutions in our neighborhoods. If OU wants another arena, they can do it without our tax dollars.

I don't think we have enough information to push this UNP TIF through in a budget crisis. I'd like to see a lot more research before using taxpayer dollars on something of this magnitude.

Retire the current TIF, balance the budget. Norman has greater needs than this speculative venture.

The University of Oklahoma has caused a land sprawl that is eating away our central Norman neighborhoods. To add to this new proposed building plan takes away from those of us who are locals and caters to passing students who are not invested in living here. Norman was known as a place that was comparable to hanging out in Austin at one point in time, but no longer, because it is starting to look like every other city with big box newer buildings and zones that look good but no one really uses. The outdoor theater built inside of the shopping zone on the West Side is a perfect example. No one uses it, but there it sits and we paid for it. The University is seeking ways to attract students that will pay for the privilege of going to OU and to keep their doors open, not benefit Norman as a whole. When our Seniors have a place to safely spend time, and our libraries are in better shape and our waste water problems are actively solved with more than a Bandaid (yes OU has a voice in the water issue) then and only then will it be time to discuss any more expansions.

I would like to see more support of downtown and east side small businesses. They are unique and draw attention compared to a generic shopping center, of which Norman has plenty.

Vote no for the UNP TIF. Build a new senor citizen center like the voters have voted for twice and has been waiting since the first vote in 2008.
