I am against the UNP Tiff because we did not get what we were promised the last time we did this. Public funds should be used for something that benefits all of Norman like libraries, swim complex, and Senior Center.

This proposal is based on rosey projections of arena usage and how much more people are willing and able to spend before/after events. And without acknowleging some fans are already spending money at existing entertainment areas such as Lindsey St., Main St., and Campus Corner. So far the only concrete commitment they have is from OU basketball. Mens basketball has about 15 home games, half of those are on weeknights and half of those may be at odd hours due to TV. The rest is vaporware, just like they had no commitment from Nordstrom and weren't able to even starthe promised up-scale retail center in UNP south -- after 12 years!.

No,no,no,no,no,no! No to corporate welfare, no to increased stress and strain on our infrastructure, no to moving OU Basketball away from campus thereby depriving local businesses of needed trade.

No to tax dollars building an arena and it is not clear that the proper studies have been done as to economic value. And then there is Louisville.

The arena will take business away from other parts of Norman. It is a useless expensive.

There is no data to support the notion that this will be good for Norman.

they couldn't get approval for an arena, so they expanded a bad plan into a worse plan for an "entertainment district.' the most vocal proponents are those with enough money to support it themselves.

We have to many areas in town that need our assistance. If building this is such a great idea let them build it alone.
