Arenas are huge cash drains. They cost a fortune to build and more to maintain and keep safe. When a private business asks a city to finance an arena they're really asking to have their cake and eat it too.

New developments killed many businesses on Noble Parkway, and would kill many more in this part of town if the proposal goes through, plus Norman shouldn't have to pay for this.

I am opposed to the UNP arena. The city hasn't addressed other issues that it creates too like more water issues & run off in town than we already have. Making a concrete jungle is a bad idea. Main street and Campus Corner are the heart of Norman.
