A bad idea. Why wasn’t this proposal fully studied and presented before starting?

The city just finished the walks, curb and gutters, and road surfacing on NW 24th Street. The tif proposes widening NW 24th to six lanes. This seems a waste of city money to tear out and rebuild. In addition, it calls for construction on I35 and Tecumseh which would again cause problems with traffic coming to Norman. After all we have gone through with I35 construction, any new construction is certainly unwanted. Let the community heal from the last few years.

Agree with stated reasons for opposition. Additionally, why the secrecy? Who are developers and investors?

I can't imagine why the city of Norman should spend money to help OU build its arena. Nor should we expand the current UNP for all the reasons stated in the petition. The city budget is not yet balanced for the coming year and voters expect the city to follow through on commitments made to Norman Forward. We also need to address storm water issues. NO to UNP expansion!! We should end the current UNP now and balance the budget.
