No to the plans destroying the character of the historic centre of Olhão in Portugal

The right balance seems to have been found between a fishing village with a more modern town further inland. Mostly unspoilt old town, carefully restored by 'enlightened' lovers of the place. Nothing would be gained by the 'renewal' i.e. destruction of the streets as planned by the municipality.

We have visited your beautiful city many many times - we've most particularly enjoyed the reality and unique character of the old part of town. We consider that the proposed changes will destroy this wonderful sanctuary.

Full support to keep the specificity of the historical center of Olhao.

I have a house in the Old Town and whilst I would support upgrading of some houses please do any improvements sympathetically. Our visitors come in part for the Old Town.

Please do not detroy the valuable heritage and unique atmosphere of this beautiful, historic city.

Le centre d'Olhao est trop précieux pour être défiguré. Un tel patrimoine est à préserver et transmettre.

The reason I fell in love with Olhao is because it's still very much a traditional Portuguese town. To change and add buildings which are not traditional will make it a soulless as other over populated tourist hot spots in the Algarve.

Olhao is a special and magical place. I hope it can be treasured for many years more.

Olhao is one of my favourite places on earth. It's one of the very few that stayed authentic and real. Instead of building new cultural centres, go back to Recreativa and preserve the beauty that is there.

Change like this can never be undone. Leave Olhao alone - don't try to mend that that is not broken!

This place is so rare and special - plans should work in harmony not to overshadow what makes it so great.
