I oppose this quarry not only for the reasons stated but also because the traffic on 87 is already become congested & no one drives the speed limit. Trucks going in & out will make matters worse & I foresee an elevation in accidents.

The county has not given the residents enough time to get information together on the LRQ. It is a safety hazard, an enviromental hazard, a noise pollution issue, a property value issue and just not wanted by the residents of Lee County. Covington bought land that was not zoned for quarry use and expect us not to care. We do. Stop the Quarry!!!

Why would anyone want to ruin Gods country with big holes and lots of dust. Not to mention the added traffic from the trucks going in and out. Do any of these folks pushing for this live here. PLEASE! PLEASE don,t bring the quarry, coal ash or fracking here.

This Quarry is something that shouldn't be next to Urban areas such as ours. The Quarry will destroy the current environment /eco system that has been built over the past few decades. The 2nd and 3rd order of effects of this Quarry won't show immediately, we'll start to see it after another decade or two and it will be too late to stop or fix it. We need to protect our County and our homes. The people of Carolina Trace want to raise their families in a healthy, safe location, or they have picked this area to retire from all their hard earned time they put in. This is not in any way conducive to these ideas.

I believe there are enough Quarries in Lee County. This is only greed and destruction of land.

Property values may be lowered, traffic problems compounded by damage to highway 87 caused by up to 400 heavy trucks traveling it every day, and traffic issues caused by these trucks attempting to go North on 87 are all issues that concern me and my neighbors. Furthermore, the possible health problems stemming from rock dust and water contamination are serious concerns as well

If the quarry is approved and put into operation, and the obvious inevitable hazards then become FACTS, tell us now who, specifically, we as individual property owners can contact to have it immediately shut down.

Absolutely not! This is not in the best interest of the community, city of Sanford or Lee county.
