We moved here to live in a rural village. Now, 10 years on, it is not the same place with more and more countryside disappearing. Enough already!

This area just cannot cope with yet more houses, the lack of facilities in this area will be even more struggling, schools, doctors, the "local" hospital, the local transport through First Bus according to their proposal is going to be even worse than it ever has. The A71 simply won't be able to cope with the amount of extra traffic. This is all to be considered before we even think about losing our sense of community.

Too many new properties in this area already. Doctors Surgery and schools already overstretched. Road network cannot cope with more traffic.

The infrastucture (schools, doctors, roads, etc.) are alreasy over capacity. Commuting times via A71 have almost doubled in only eight years. This is a ridiculous idea.

The doctors, and the chemists are already struggling with the volume of people here. The schools are fit to bursting, it's not going to.be of any benefit to the area.

The roads in East and Mid Calder cannot cope with another 660 houses. Also getting an appointment at the EC Medical Practice is going to be impossible.

East Calder has grown too fast in recent years and current infrastructure already struggling to cope. Aside from that there are already enough development plans in the area. We need to maintain the village life aspect rather than merging to create bigger towns. Without a border eliment people easily lose their sense of community.

This development would cause havoc with the existing infrastructure, not to mention schools, medical centre and the already poor lack of amenities. Proposed changes to bus services would also mean an increase in traffic through the villages.

Far too many houses currently for local infrastructure and services to cope with. There will be little to no separation between villages and ruin the rural aspect.

Knowing the area, reading all the comments on every forum and talking to everyone I know who will be affected by this, there is not one person anywhere in favour of this ridiculous and inane folly.... and First Bus seem to be blighted by the same gross stupidity.....neither of these plans benefit anyone, anywhere. So what are their real objectives???
