This proposal does nothing to help local people get their feet on the property ladder. Local people already cannot afford to by the properties being built at Calderwood.

Stop building houses in east Calder!!!! This is supposed to be a village not a town! The village has always been surrounded by lovely wild life which in recent years has been destroyed due to excessive building of houses. Our infrastructure is also not able to cope ie doctors / school / road traffic / parking - adding more houses would make this even worse and cause major traffic issues and pollution! Those grounds at present are used by the local community and should be kept that way!!’n

Given that First are proposing a massive reductionin the bus service how do they expect existing residents to commute to and from work? The Scottish Government insist they want cars off the road but are allowing the building of homes in areas with already very poor public transport. 1 bus per half hour during the day so by the time it reaches East Calder it will be full and weekend & evening service non existent! No joined up thinking. What about GP services too which are already overstretched.

This development would cause havoc with the existing infrastructure, not to mention schools, medical centre and the already poor lack of amenities. Proposed changes to bus services would also mean an increase in traffic through the villages.

Completely against the unnecessary Broompark development- this will impact severely on the local infrastructure and cause construction directly affecting my property. With the ongoing Calderwood and Almondell developments is there any real need??

Definitely no more houses please !! The Medical centre isnt big enough to take more people never mind the traffic build up and the roads need repaired and what happened to the promise of a High School ? I border on to this proposal and I like the view the way it is at the moment thank you !!

I defiantly say no to yet another very large development there is enough fields and countryside being swallowed up already with the other end of east Calder at calderwood development in side what was the car park to almond dell country park please no more housing estates it's left belt to drive along what's left of a bit open space before you hit the town concrete jungle of livingston

I will have houses to the front and back. If he could build further back and not build as many. It is also going to put the roads and health centre under pressure. I love my privacy at the back and with all the wildlife

We've not got the amenities to support this many houses in East Calder. There's already Calderwood, Seven Wells and Almondell in the area with no additional services so how can the area cope with another development of this size?

Roads cannot cope as it is. Build infrastructure before building more homes. We came to east calder for the quiet country side. The roads are already extremely busy through east calder.

There is already an overpopulation in this area, with a lack of resources such as the health centre and the demand on schools. To build more housing here without increasing said resources is just absolute greed and stupidity.

I personally feel that east Calder and mid Calder couldn’t cope with another 600+ houses, we don’t have the facilities in place for example doctor surgery, roads, transport links / buses. Loss of green space will be another issue along with sewage and other utilities which are already stretched.

Totally disagree with the decision to build on this land. It is vital to keep wild spaces for all.The roads cannot cope with the traffic as it is. We need affordable housing and council houses,but this is not what is happening. Greedy developers promising us all what they want us to hear,then doing the exact opposite. This land is not suitable for building on. It should be kept as is. The Communities of East and Mid Calder are suffering due to
Ack of resources,the building of yet more houses will bring on an even more detrimental effect. What we need is wide open spaces to help preserve what is our reason for living in the "countryside"....It is all very depressing.
