Houses that are proposed at Broompark should not be allowed. This will destroy our wildlife and fauna. Our roads won’t be able to sustain the amount of extra traffic. It’s bad already. Our schools and medical practice are full to bursting as it is. We just don’t have the community facilities and infrastructure to cope with an extra 1000 people that would move into these homes.

No more housing until the schools, library and health centre are upgraded to support the current level of housing. The Calders should also retain their individual identity and not succumb to over population/loss of green belt due to property developers being given free rein. Time to stop.

Infrastructure will not support more housing, West Lothian Council can’t cope with bucket uplifts with current housing so more will cause further problems.
Two week wait for general appointment at East Calder health centre at moment, no budget to fully repair camps road, patch up job only and would be main link to A71. Reduced bus services just announced when in fact the area requires more.

Parking spaces for residents and through traffic in Mid Calder village is problematic as it is.
Adding this volume of traffic through the village will impact on people’s daily lives.

Schools, Doctor's Surgery and roads in and out of village are still the same as they were 32 years ago when we moved to the village. Building more houses has to stop! The current infrastructure cannot support the massive influx of residents and traffic which will follow.

East Calder main street and surrounding roads cannot cope with any more houses and traffic it took me 20 minutes to get through East Calder on Wednesday night. This is s disgrace.

This is a beautiful green belt with a distinct border between East calder d Mid Calder. The health centre is bursting and impossible to get appointments. The A71 is dreadful at commuter times Do we really want East calder to be a town of just houses.

This development is not required. There are many houses going up the other side of East Calder and the roads can't handle the extra traffic. The doctors surgery can't take the extra patients as its over subscribed already. Not even sure the schools could take the children from the 660 houses! It would complexly overwhelm the villages.
Apart from anything else the land owner has already sown contempt by destroying trees whilst being told not to by the Forrestry commission. They would appear to be just after quick buck. And I think using that area would restrict the movement of wildlife between Oakbank/Gasworks park area and the Almond country park.

I object to a development between mid and east calder villages. This development would merge the two together and both would lose their character. The green space is currently a wildlife corridor and once gone can never be recovered. The roads are already congested and couldnt cope with the traffic from 650 houses. The infrastructure is not there to support more housing. The doctors and dentists and schools are already under pressure. These villages have already had so much development why do we have to lose this last piece of green space that has so far helped to maintain a feeling that the two villages are separate

This plan is crazy corporate and personal greed with no thought given to the distruction of precious woodland, wildlife habitat or the unsustainable urban infrastructure required and polution this will create. We do not need this and cannot support this.

Our village should stay that way..a village. The sewers aren't coping.drains aren't coping. Schools overflowing.community overflowing.doctors appointments are awful for booking an appointment .traffic pollution is a joke.the wildlife unfortunately don't have a voice but the people of this village do and we are using it!no stop building!!
