NO to Self Policing by Tubing Outfitters on San Marcos River

As a regular user of the San Marcos River, I strongly oppose the MOU. I would like to save the river from being wasted in the name of greed and monetary gain.

Expecting the tubing outfitters to police themselves is not a good workable solution.....it is not in their best interest and a past history of empty promises proves this true.

Another version of the fox guarding the hen house. The tubing outfitters have previously demonstrated their complete lack of ability to enforce any environmental stewardship. It's simply not in their best interest to police their clients. Their attitude is "the more the merrier". Meaning "more tubers" and "more beer".

Please us fix the problem of
drunk disorderly offensive
invading the river and filling it
with cans, bottles and trash. It is not safe for our grandchildren to go down to the river -- what a shame!

We need our rivers, especially the San Marcos River to be clean with a minimum of trash. If the State of Texas can't do it, we must do it.

Don's fish camp always seems to be full of out-of-towners who are there to party hard and leave ALL their trash behind.

I support SB 234. my house is next to tx state tubes and near to dons fishing camp and cool ranch. my kids are not safe due to all this drunk people how drive in are neighborhood. i found two years a go a young women and a boy inside my garage. they were drunk. wee need to do something to protect are homes and families. drugs, naked people, loud music, events for more then five thousand peoples all this happens a few feet from my home. a table dance have more regulations and restrictions then this tubes business.

The river is now truly indescribable due to the trash from tubers. You have to see it to believe it! PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY!!!

We need a can ban, and we don't want a private option whereby the tubing outfitters police themselves. The San Marcos River is getting TRASHED by tubers!

The amount of trash on the river in the form of beer cans and water bottles is disgusting. It won't be long before this natural beauty is unfit for human use.

I was totally disgusted by the trash on the San Marcos river the list time I floated it. The litter was horrible too.

the tubing operators have yet to take an effective role in protecting the river, there is no reason to believe them now

I don't believe self regulation will be effective. I support SB 234.
